It is not too often that we get the chance to visit the East Coast, so we were thrilled with the opportunity to attend the Audrain Concours Motor Week. We traveled back to Newport, Rhode Island to enjoy a weekend in appreciation of the automobile. Thank you to everyone at the Audrain Automobile Museum for hosted such a great weekend and for the hospitality wherever we went. There were plenty of things to do and see while in Newport. Since there was so many happening all weekend, we will split up the coverage into a few posts over the next week or so. This post is all about the Concours on Sunday.
The highlight of Motor Week was the Concours event held at The Breakers Mansion. It was a beautiful setting to host a large gathering of unique and notable automobiles. The Audrain did a great job of inviting a mix of racing, classic, and historic automobiles. The results from the weekend's judging are already posted online. We were excited to see that our favorite car from the weekend, the 1953 Abarth 1100 SS Ghia Coupe, was selected Best in Show.
Please enjoy the photos from Sunday's event below. We will post more highlights from Fridays and Saturdays event shortly.
