One of our favorite events of the year is the MSRA Back to the Fifties weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota. This 3-day car show attracts over 11,000 classic cars and hot rods to the Twin Cities every June. It is one of the largest classic car shows in the country. The event is hosted by our friends at the Minnesota Street Rod Association (MSRA).
Everyone loves going to Back to the Fifties Weekend in St. Paul for a number of reasons. First, the venue: The Minnesota State Fairgrounds is one of the nicest fairgrounds in the country. It is large, shaded and also has some great concession stands. You can't go to Back to the Fifties without trying some cheese curds and cookie buckets. Second, the variety: This event just doesn't attract the Ford and Chevy owners. You see all makes and models of classic Mercury, Lincoln, Edsel, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick automobiles. Lastly, the size: 11,000+ cars and 60,000+ people makes it just an impressive car show to sit back and just watch. On Saturday afternoon, there are so many cars and people on the road, you would think it was a rock and roll festival.
Highlights from the weekend included: 100's of Vendors, Ladies Showcase, Collector's Alley, Live Music, Vintage Airplane Fly Over, Sunday Swap Meet
Thank you to everyone at the MSRA for the hospitality. We will see you back again in 2020!
