Our mid summer catalog is in the mail this week. On the cover, is a custom built 1970 Ford Mustang owned by one of our local customers, Chris Ashton. Chris spent a few years designing and building this car in his home garage. Chris operates a video game design studio in Southern California, which makes the build even more impressive. He is not a car builder by trade, but learned the skills necessary to do the vast majority of the fabrication and design work on the Mustang online. Chris estimates that the build took 1700 hours of work over a three year period.
The Ruffian Mustang is a tribute to Trans Am series race cars of the 1960s-1970s. Under the hood is a 625 horsepower engine. The exterior includes a number of mods that Chris fabricated: steel fender flares, flush mount glass, shaved drip rails, and front/rear spoilers.
